On top of my head, you can't use MG on 3 purple weapons to get a legendary, it has to be a purple weapon + 2 legendaries + MG for a guaranteed legendary of your choice (the purple weapon). to grind legendary you need 2 legendary 1 purple the purple weapon you use will become the new legendary that the recipe. Get two Thingies from Iwarja, get a purple item and moonstone grind. The level of the gun will be the average levels of the guns rounded DOWN and the purple gun will determine the TYPE of gun.

luneshine weapon could only be green or higher due to that moonstone will guranteed a higher quality for every grind. The only tip I could give you is save your game, and grind. If you don't get a luneshine, altf4 and repeat until you do unless you're using a Mac. Luneshine hyperion beam weapons are OP. #2.

The recipes, are as follows, and require items of the same rarity in every case but the legendary case: Legendary of desired type: 2 legendary weapons + 1 purple weapon of the desired type.
