The process of the auction of 41 coal mines in India has commenced as part of the Centre's Atmanirbhar (selfreliant) India campaign on June 18. It is for the first time that coal mines in India are being opened for commercial mining. While launching the auction process, the Prime Minister said coal mining will pave the way for development in tribaldominated areas.
